Attaching Charts and Screenshots

Attach chart images and broker screenshots to trades for later review.

Key takeaways

  • Charts and broker screenshots can be attached to a trade or note from the image button.
  • Pasting from the clipboard is supported where the browser allows it.
  • The parse-from-image option on the orders section extracts data and stores the image alongside the trade.
  • Best practice: capture one chart at entry and one at exit, with levels marked.
  • Image files are stored privately and only visible to you.

Charts and screenshots make notes far more useful in review.

  1. From inside a trade or note editor, use the image button to upload a PNG or JPG (or paste from your clipboard, where supported).
  2. For broker confirmations, you can also use the parse-from-image option in the orders section - MTF extracts the order data and stores the image alongside the trade.
  3. Save.

Best practice is two charts: one captured at entry (showing what you saw) and one at exit (showing what played out). Marking up your levels before saving gives you something concrete to compare against future setups. Image files are stored privately and only visible to you.
