A trade stays in the Active status until its closing orders cover the open quantity.

  1. Open Journal → Trades. Add a status filter for Active to see only running positions.
  2. Click into a trade to see current size, average entry, and unrealized state.
  3. Edit the trade to add a partial scale or a hedge - orders accumulate over time.

Active trades aren't included in realized P&L on the Trading Dashboard (they don't have a final result yet) but they're visible in the Active Trades widget so you don't lose track. As soon as you log the closing orders the trade flips to Closed and feeds into all the standard performance widgets.
