Setting Your Timezone

Pick the IANA timezone used to display trade timestamps and reports.

Key takeaways

  • Timezone is set from Settings → Profile and uses standard IANA names (e.g. Europe/Amsterdam, America/New_York).
  • It controls display only - timestamps stored in the database don't change.
  • Especially important if you trade markets in a different region than you live.
  • DST transitions are handled automatically by IANA timezones.

Your timezone controls how trade timestamps, session boundaries, and reporting periods are displayed.

  1. Open Settings → Profile at /workspace/settings?tab=profile.
  2. In the Timezone field, pick your region - the list uses standard IANA names (e.g. Europe/Amsterdam, America/New_York).
  3. Save.

Times stored in the database don't change - only how they're presented to you. Setting this correctly is especially important if you trade markets in a different region than you live (e.g. an EU trader covering US sessions).

Daylight saving transitions are handled automatically by IANA timezones, so you don't need to update twice a year.
